Project Overview:

MPaCT is a research initiative designed to help opioid treatment programs adopt more flexible, patient-centered methadone practices made possible by updated federal regulations. Working in partnership with patients, clinicians, and state regulators, and using qualitative and quantitative methods, the project will identify barriers to implementation, co-develop practical strategies for improving clinical workflows, and pilot the program at two Denver treatment sites. The ultimate goal is to improve patients’ initiation and retention in methadone treatment and help reduce opioid overdose deaths.
